Water Baptism

an outward expression of an inward change

Why Baptism Matters

  • It follows your decision to trust Jesus

  • It publicly declares your new life in Him

  • It connects you with a community that will walk with you

Baptism is your chance to say, “This is what Jesus is doing in my life.” It’s an outward expression of an inward transformation, owning your past with all its highs and lows while celebrating the new life, freedom, and hope you’ve found in Him.

The Bible says, “We were buried with Him through baptism into death, in order that… we too may live a new life” (Romans 6:4). Baptism is also a public declaration that you belong to Jesus and to His family. It’s a step of obedience that follows repentance and faith, witnessed and celebrated by a community ready to walk with you.

Join us on August 10th during our 9 and 11 am services as we celebrate baptisms together.

Baptism F.A.Q.

  • Anyone who has made a personal decision to trust and follow Jesus. In the Bible, baptism follows repentance and faith. If you’ve chosen to follow Christ, baptism is your next step.

  • We’ll meet with you beforehand to hear your story and answer any questions. On the day of baptism, you’ll be called up onto the stage to answer a few questions along with others who are also taking this step then you will be baptized in water. Our church family will celebrate with you. We will have a towel that’s yours to keep for drying off after.

Here’s the » baptism handout « that we give you during our first conversation.

  • We love and respect family traditions. However, throughout the New Testament, baptism always follows a personal decision to trust Jesus. If you were baptized before making that decision, we invite you to be baptized now as a believer.

  • Absolutely. We encourage you to invite them. It’s a powerful moment that often sparks faith in others too.
